Privacy

What this site keeps, and what it doesn’t.

Short, because there is not much to say. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no cookies set by me. The site is a set of static pages and a few forms.

What is collected

Only what you type into a form: your name, your email address and your message, plus whichever option you chose (an enquiry, the letter, the podcast launch list, a collaboration note). Forms are relayed by FormSubmit, a form-to-email service, and land in my inbox. FormSubmit states that submissions are retained for up to 30 days, after which they are deleted. I do not buy, rent or scrape lists.

What it is used for

To reply to you, and, if you joined The Eight or the Anteroom list, to send you the thing you asked for. Nothing is sold, added to any list you did not choose, or passed on beyond the services named on this page. If you write about a project, what you tell me stays between us.

Other services

Type is served from this site, not from Google Fonts, so no font request leaves the site. If you join The Eight, your email address is held by Substack, which sends the letter. If you message on WhatsApp, that conversation runs on WhatsApp. Forms are relayed by FormSubmit, and the site is served through Cloudflare. Nothing else is loaded from outside.

Your rights

Ask and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it, usually the same day. Unsubscribe from The Eight with the link at the foot of every letter, or write to me and I will remove you from any list. Depending on where you live, the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or Canada’s PIPEDA gives you these rights formally; I would rather you simply asked.

Who is responsible
